Houston based multidisciplinary artist, Melissa Jo (b. 1991), is best known for her elaborative compositions composed of saturated multicolored figures, typography, and rhythmic textural forms. Her work is stylistically inspired by her love of R&B music and African American Culture.

In my art, I weave a colorful tapestry of emotions using a mix of textures and typography on figurative works of art.
